That was totally amazing. I’ve never in my life felt like so much was at stake. I’m glad to have been able to be a very small part of it. We haven’t had a person of this magnitude as a leader of our country in a long, long time. ---

[The Onion: Black Man Given Nation’s Worst Job.](http://www.theonion.com/content/news_briefs/black_man_given_nations?utm_source=onion_rss_daily) 😃 ETA: I read an interesting comment: that this year’s election seemed so long because the nation had generally written off Bush after Katrina. Basically, the thesis is that the electorate had spent all their time since waiting for Bush to leave and trying to find someone to replace him. Makes a certain amount of sense. 🙂 ---

I just got back from a riot. Er, peaceful demonstration. On the news of the win, students just ran to the streets. It started small, only a hundred or so, but someone decided to march and it… grew. I’d say a thousand plus, towards the end of it all. With a good dozen cops not knowing what the hell to do. And it was cold and rainy - my generation doesn’t suck! (Of course, after awhile a mobile DJ showed up and there was a dance party in the street, but hey, our generation also has a short attention span.) ---

Wayne county results are now, finally, in. Unless I’m missing something; it looks like Obama will take Indiana. ---

I cannot properly comment in this thread, and for that I am sorry In truth, I have barely been able to stop bawling since Obama was announced the winner. Never in my life have I felt such pride in my country. I feel as though tonight has made me a better person and a better American. You will excuse me while I go cry some more. ---
