My predictions for today: **Slovenia 0 - 1 England** Another drab performance but just enough to progress. Won’t do much to silence the critics. **USA 2 - 0 Algeria** As long as it’s the USA we saw in the second half against Slovenia. Final standings: ```auto P W D L F A GD Pts USA 3 1 2 0 5 3 +2 5 England 3 1 2 0 2 1 +1 5 Slovenia 3 1 1 1 3 3 0 4 Algeria 3 0 1 2 0 3 -3 1 ``` **Ghana 1 - 2 Germany** I think this could be quite closely fought. Hoping for a good match. **Australia 1 - 3 Serbia** The Serbs should have too much class here. Final standings: ```auto P W D L F A GD Pts Germany 3 2 0 1 7 4 +3 6 Serbia 3 2 0 1 4 2 +2 6 Ghana 3 1 1 1 3 3 0 4 Australia 3 0 1 2 2 8 -6 1 ``` So, England to face Germany and USA to face Serbia next round… ---

I can see Algeria drawing with the USA, and England getting a scrawpy Crouch goal to clinch anotherwise tense and sporadic 90 mins. I’m also going to go for Ghana beating Germany and Australia getting a draw against the Serb’s. So, we’re both still going through. Who would you prefer, Serbia or Ghana? ---
