NL scores against Cameroon – NL 1 - 0 Cameroon. As it stands now, NL and Japan go on, and would play, respectively, against Slovakia and Paraguay. ---

Japan is pressing Denmark like hell! Denmark appears to have been utterly discombobulated by the Japanese attack. If this goes on, Japan might end up scoring a couple more goals by the end of the game… Colour me impressed! This Japan is nothing like the team that played in earlier World Cups. Of course, there might be a Danish rally during the 2nd half, if they manage to calm down and focus… But somehow it looks unlikely. ---

Cameroon ties it up on the penalty. At this point, if Japan scores another goal, Japan takes the group (I think). ETA: No. They need two goals to take it. (Or 1 plus another Cameroon goal). ETA again: Nevermind. I just can’t add. They definitely need another Cameroon goal. (Forgot to take Netherlands point for a draw into account.) ---

Netherlands scores again – Very nice goal, after the first shoot on target was deflected by the post. Netherlands 2 - 1 Cameroon And Cameroon doesn’t surrender! They still play and fight. I love this team right now. They may be in a totally hopeless situation, but they won’t - give - up! And Denmark also scored against Japan, but the Japanese keep being plucky. Nice passes between the Japanese players, although it looks a bit like stalling. The Danes press on, but it may be (_may_ be) a case of too little, too late. ---
