I’m just hoping for a decent game. We haven’t had a really good final since… 1966? They’ve ranged between dire (1990, 1994), one-sided (1970, 1982, 1998, 2002), and OK-but-not-memorable (1974, 1978, 1986, 2006).
1978 was probably the best of that lot. 1986 had a great last 15 minutes but was quite dull up to that point.

If the game tomorrow has half of the liveliness and excitement of today’s game, I’ll be quite satisfied with it. Best game of the tournament so far.
I think this can happen if Holland scores early. I can’t imagine Spain opening up all of a sudden after the way they played the last few games. Especially since they’re winning. Based on the scores of the past few 3rd place games, it’s evident that defenders don’ t play as inspired. I picked up a few bucks today on the OVER 2.5 goals. Easiest bet of the tournament. I wouldn’t expect the same tomorrow.
