Nonsense. It has been shown time & time that films released later, and thus fresh in the memory, have a much great chance of being nominated or winning.

This might hold a microscopic grain of truth if _Tangled_ had been released in the spring. But it wasn’t–it was released on Thanksgiving and was still enjoying its original theatrical run when the nominations were being tallied, putting a damper on your ridiculous conspiracy theory.
