**{{{FCM}}}** So I went to church with the couple I live with today. I was not impressed. They go to a shoutin’ and praisin’ church, which I don’t have a problem with. The pastor’s message is what I had a problem with. Culinary Boy and I decided we’re going to the Lutheran church down the street next week. ---

I swiped the General’s dindin and went over to OYKW’s place for a bit. Now I am back at da cave. **Spaz** those shoutin’, rollin’ around on the floor, pew jumpin’, light fixture swingin’ places give me the willies. I like my nice quite Whiskypalian church. Don’t blame ya for wantin’ to go hang with the Lutherans instead. Here’s sump’n I don’t quite get. JDD’s bday is today. He and partner went up to his parents (his bein’ JDD’s parents) today for **N.O.L.** and as JDD put it, to get his check. His brother who has a bday later this month requested his check early. What I don’t get is it seems they _expected_ to get said checks which as I understand are around a hundred dollars. I would not expect my own mother to give me anything. In fact, I discourage it. It’s just strange to me that two grown men ages 57 and about to be 62 seem to _expect_ their 87 year old parents to give them money for their bdays. Hey, if it’s their thing to hand out money that’s fine. I just don’t get the _expecting_ it business. Then again I suppose it is absolutely none of my business, so get over it bear. Just weird to me though. Here endeth tonight’s ramblin’ post. ---

My grandma fried some ham downstairs and it smells sooooooo good. Especially since all I ended up having for dinner was rice and some oatmeal cookies. Tomorrow is one day away from heading back to reality. I am really, really not looking forward to going back to school this semester. I guess I’d better get over that feeling pretty soon. ---

He can’t get out to buy anything, and for years has given me (and ReboSon) a check for birthdays and Christmas. So i guess I “expect” a check - not that I need it or want it, really. But if it makes him feel good, that’s ok then. Hell, this morning he tried to give me ten bucks to buy him toothbrushes and hearing aid batteries. I waved him off, and told him it was grocery stuff. I reckon so **Rebo**. The weird part to me was JDD’s brother askin’ for his check early, just like it’s an expected thing. I could not even imagine askin’ somebody for an early bday present.
