Irk is quiet. Mayhaps the cold is keepin’ people from crawlin’ out from under their blankets. Hey most of the people I deal with are old and can’t handle the cold. 😃 Matter of fact it’s cold in the office. Methinks the heat is not workin’ right. ---

2011 sucked. My mom died January 7 and it went downhill from there. I had a falling out with my brother (which might not be a bad thing). The hospital I work for got sold to a bigger hospital (they call it a merger but we know it’s a takover) and in August I was told a decision would be made in 3 weeks about my job. Well, I’m still here and it sucks being in limbo. 2011 ended with a bang with having a fight with a friend (she just didn’t understand why I am tired of her screaming about how horrible her life is). I still haven’t lost the 30 pounds that have been plaguing me for a few years and I still smoke occasionally, like when I have a fight with a friend. New Year’s Day I went to church, cried through the whole service, got a migraine and went to bed at 6pm. There’s only one thing that can make 2012 worse than 2011 and I’m not even thinking about that. ---

I’m here!! I have got to readjust my internal clock - this staying up past midnight then sleeping past 10 really sucks! We went out for breakfast ( **FCD** ) and lunch (ME) then to the AT&T store so \*\*FCD \*\*could get himself a new phone - a Samsung running Andriod. He’s playing with it now. I just got a fire going and I’m thinking about baking something - I have some fresh pineapple - maybe a small upside down cake? It’s cold - we saw flurries while driving home. Stoopit winter. My FIL had a melanoma removed from his back - here’s hoping they got it all. The inlaws are planning to come visit us in the next month or so - time to clean the guest room! 😃 Other than that, just another day in FairyChatParadise! 😃 ---

This crud is kicking my ass. I went to bed at 8.30 last night. Urgh. First day back at work has been not to horrific although I have spent 3 hours getting caught up on expenses. I am so very grateful this is a short week with only 3 days to go. Whoohoo! Other than that …erm…the sun is shining and it is chilly here. The weather forecasters of doom were predicting snow for Sunday last night and now they are saying light drizzle :rolleyes: ---

'Tis _only_ 41 Amurrkin out and with the windchill it feels like 35. Tonight’s low will be 21 with a _hard freeze warning_ in effect. I lurves the way TWC says _hard freeze warning in effect tonight and early tomorrow_. It sounds so ominous! 😃 Dindin tonight is leftovers from Sunday. However, in honor of the cold weather, I have beef veggie soup simmerin’ in the slow cooker. I like how easy it is to put soup together and slow simmer it at night and just heat it up the next day for dindin. MMMMMMMM… soup! A chilly night is a good night to stay in all snug and warm. ETA: Feel better **mmmmmms**! ---

It’s 28 and windy right now - I definitely love my fireplace insert! The wood is lots cheaper than heating oil - and last night, we got it up to 73 degrees at the far end of the house. I’m trying to figure if we’ve got enough wood to get us thru the rest of the year - if we need more, I don’t want to get it delivered to a snow-covered yard. Decisions, decisions… ---

I’ve been sick with some sort of stomach thing-- even soda is hard to keep down. Now I’m better but all my anxieties are bad. I have calls to make and errands, but I just can’t do more than worry. It’ll get better, but right now I want to crawl into bed and pull the covers over my head. The good news is my amaryllis is getting ready to bloom. Bright red! ---

Ugh. Lady problems. I spent 6 months on the pill after my PCOS diagnosis and it was wonderful. Then a pharmaceutical company issue caused me to not be able to get my pills for a month ( coupled with my GYN being on vacation and her nurse not responding to calls causing me to not be able to get a replacement). This is the end of my first month back on the pills and it’s like I was never on them in the first place. Pain, nausea, exhaustion, depression that my citalopram can’t cure. Blech. I slept until 3PM and I have to get up at 6am tomorrow for orientation. I’m not sure I’ll be able to fall asleep, even with Unisom. Luckily it should get better by this time next month. Last time it took 2 months on the pills before I stopped suffering. The nausea has me not eating and this isn’t good because now I’m shaky and lightheaded so I have to find something to eat that doesn’t make me more queasy and is filling. I’m leaning toward oatmeal but all I have is the crap in the packets and I could really go for some real oatmeal. It’s currently 16° (f) outside and 58° (f) inside. I’m too cheap to turn the heat up and too lazy to make a fire so I’m using Iggy as a heating pad. My hands are really cold though. ---

Two more hours 'til I leave. I’ve been up since Midnight. A double dose of Unisom helped me to get a grand total of 1 hour of sleep. I’m pretty wide awake though but bored silly and really cold.
