Well, Heslip didn’t ever touch the ball again after my last post, so no record for him. And so far the NM-Louisville game is looking to be a by-the-numbers snoozer. ---

The Lobos found at least one of their cojones for a few minutes to make it a game again, but once the clock went under 4 minutes, they seem to have all thought the game was over and sort of stopped playing. Still, in basketball a 7 or 8 point difference can be made up in seconds. I’d love to see them pull this off. ---

Being that I live in Las Vegas, the newspaper here prints the spread for each game, and I’m not sure the guys who make the lines were watching the same Norfolk State team I watched: for some reason, Florida is a 14 point favorite over the Spartans. All the other lines seemed pretty reasonable to me, except I think G’Town will beat my ACC-mates NC State by more than the 4 point spread. I just don’t think the 'Pack will be able to hang in there late in the game. ---

Ddamn the Billikens are a scrappy bunch. Seems like nearly every time the Spartans have the ball, St. Louis forces a turnover or grabs the rebound. Hard to believe the game is this close with St. Louis shooting under 25% from the field. ---

The NBA fully supports it because prior to the rule they were spending a whole lot of money on unproven talent, and it’s free advertising for the future NBA players.
