Kicking what is essentially an exta point (what 99.5% accuracy) with 30 seconds left on the clock and no times out for the Saints is better than a touchdown with 2 minutes left, giving Breeze the ball with a timeout. There’s intuitive football and there’s correct football. Smith scoring the touchdown when he could was intuitive, but not necessarily the right thing to do. ---
