I stayed up late and watched it last night (might have been a replay, but I didn’t know it was on.) Not the greatest all around, but Joan Jett opened it right with “Bad Reputation.” She is still adorable, BTW. Surprisingly, to me at least, so is Miley Cyrus. I know she is a train wreck, but she looks great and gave a nice induction speech for Joan Jett and the Blackhearts. The most eloquent inductee by far was Bill Withers, and Stevie Wonder’s performance of “Ain’t No Sunshine” was to me the best performance of the night. Green Day was also excellent. Definitely worth watching if you have HBO. ---

Well it turns out Miley has been putting out a lot of rootsy acoustic music lately. (Maybe she’s picking up on Gaga’s recent “mature” makeover.)
