Because I think in a society as prosperous and as advanced as the modern American Republic, I don’t think its unreasonable that every citizen should be able to afford basic healthcare especially considering every other developed country has universal health insurance. I don’t see why you are asking this question-all your old-school Democratic heroes like FDR, Harry Truman, John F. Kennedy, and so forth would agree on me unequivocally on this point. ---

The best way for this to happen of course is to have taxes on the wealthiest Americans and corporations reverted to the levels before Reagan came along. Have them pay their fair share, put those extra tax dollars to work with desperately needed infrastructure which will stimulate the economy, allowing more people to be able to buy more goods and services, making those same corporations more money than before. With added demand, those corporations will be able to expand, creating more jobs (because tax breaks don’t create jobs, demand for products and services does) and everyone will be accountable and there will be much love. ---

So basically they want 70% tax rates, bracket creep, and so many loopholes that billionaires pay no taxes at all. ---
