Sanders cut his political teeth in the 60s, the era of SDS and the Port Huron Statement and _Prairie Fire_ and a bunch of other all-but-forgotten lefty manifestos. Shaping the Democratic Party platform has probably always been a big deal to him, regardless of who reads it. And I will add this: I don’t think you can dismiss his monumental stubbornness as mere egotism. If that were all there was, he’d have thrown in the towel now that he’s not getting any substantial attention, and more importantly, he’s spent decades toiling alone in the wilderness. Being ignored and disapproved of probably just confirms to him that he was right all along. ---

Looks like Bernie isn’t making friends among Democrats in congress. I wonder if he’ll start to get public criticism from Democrats? Bernie apparently didn’t see the news about Lynch saying she was accepting the FBI recommendations no matter what. I guessed he missed it hidden, as it was, in all those articles about how Bernie blew it by not endorsing Clinton in the middle of June ---

(Possibly also suspending his campaign? That isn’t clear.) Maybe he wants to get a good speaking slot at the convention. ---

So, Bernie Sanders was able to get through the entire primary processes without filing his financial disclosure. She hasn’t been at the college for five years so why would something pop up now? Also, as a Senator doesn’t he have to make a financial disclosure regardless of him not being a Presidential candidate?
