Apparently it’s a good deal less than clear whether you can ask for a recount after there’s already been a recount.
Also, consider this: she’s an ordinary citizen. With a family, presumably a job. Almost certainly not independently wealthy. She’s on the local school board, which before this was her most significant political involvement.
She spent a good chunk of last year campaigning to win this seat. Then another two months awaiting the recount and its outcome. She’s probably more than ready to go back to her everyday life. And unless the state party is willing to fund any legal actions she brings, she probably can’t afford to take things any further.
But yeah, she ought to keep this fight going because some random dude on a message board will be pissed if she doesn’t. Makes sense to me.
