Hard to believe, but some towns & polling places are humming like clockwork. I visited my local polling place, which was obviously busy (20 poll workers!), but there were only 3 people in line in front of me, and I was in&out in under 5 minutes. No hiccups; although when the poll clerk attending to the person in front of me couldn’t find the name (“Are you sure you are registered?”), she realized she was looking in the wrong place, and found it 10 seconds later. I volunteered to provide rides to anyone who needed one to the polls, left my name & number at the town clerk and at a local volunteer ride service, but no one called me. Guess the invalids and procrastinators voted in advance by absentee. Our clerk told me that if I brought someone to the polls who couldn’t easily get out of my vehicle, she could bring the polls to the car, sorta like “curbside voting.” We have a spare wheelchair for public use, but this is even better. What a service! ---

This must be terribly hard on poor old Trump. CNN reported earlier that when the Dems appeared to be taking a big lead, he was blaming Paul Ryan for everything. But one has to be careful not to jump the gun – if Republicans do better than expected and retain the House, everyone must know that it was solely due to the brilliance of Trump’s gigantic brain and absolutely nothing else! 😃 ---

Lets not ignore that it makes for good television to drag all this stuff out, it makes a good story when the Democrats come storming back. Like here in Georgia lots votes still out in normally democratic areas. ---

In the end, I’m more bullish about Gillum’s chances than Abrams’ in Georgia. But it would suck of the Dems go 0 for 2 in the Southeast. ---

The poll worker’s solution was to have my father vote under my nephew’s name. :rolleyes: ---
