Not strong enough for a rant however I want to encourage others to stretch their descriptive muscles a little and explain if you feel so inclined. Are you sitting comfortably, then we’ll begin: 2020 is… the durian fruit of years. Tough, stringy and although somewhere out there someone might enjoy it, for the vast majority of us it just sucks. ---

2020 is the clogged sink of years. Muck issues that have been building up and oozing for decades and it’s rife with germs that can be deadly. The natural flow of things is blocked and if not dealt with soon, the disgusting back up will sicken us all, and cost heinously to clean up. ---

2020 is the villain reveal of years. Up to this point in the story there have been hints, occasional teases, but still we maintained that time itself was pretty decent and didn’t hate us. Then - BOOM! The truth is revealed, and the catastrophes begin in earnest. ---

2020 is ironically the opposite of 20/20. Nobody has vision perfect enough to see the immediate, let alone the distant, future. ---

2020 is the Wrong Life Partner of years. At one point, things were looking good - rosy, even. Then the shine wore off rather quickly and you found out all their bad habits that led to worse habits and destructive behavior, and they’ve dragged you into their quagmire of Bad News, these things have to play out on their own, and you have no real choice but to try your best to ride it out the best you can, because there **is** light at the end of that tunnel, there just _has_ to be. ---
