I thought he was a splendid actor, one of the best. I mean, he got an Oscar nomination for Best Actor in a movie where you couldn’t even see his real face. That was _Elephant Man_. And that was with Anthony Hopkins and John Gielgud in the same picture. Admittedly, the latter was a supporting role, but still… ---
