I was very aware that JLL was alive, as the last guard of early rock n’ roll. Now with him, Chuck Berry, and Little Richard gone, it is clear that rock music is in deep doo-doo. ---

Chubby is cool and all, but I can’t put him in the same genre-forming, quintessential category as the three I mentioned. Naturally, there are also-rans of various levels from the '50’s to be found, above ground. ---
