Your list had ten names. Taking off Benedict and adding Paul McCartney leaves you with two alternates and added to the initial ten that gives you twelve picks. You need one more name. ---

My sole alternate, wrestling broadcaster Don West, has departed this mortal coil. Since picks have been dropping like flies in recent hours, I might yet need one! So I’m replacing West with former Biden deputy press secretary TJ Ducklo (born 9-22-88). I am not changing any of my thirteen picks, just being prepared in case life (or rather its cessation on the part of one of my picks) does that for me in the next fifteen hours and thirty-some minutes. My 2023 Death Pool list: James Whale (5-13-51) talk radio guy George Alagiah (11-22-55) BBC news guy Linda Nolan (2-23-59) Irish singer, actress Andy Taylor (2-16-61) Duran Duran guitarist Ronnie Atkins (11-16-64) Pretty Maids rocker Shannen Doherty (4-12-71) 90210 Jeanette Lee (7-9-71) “Black Widow” pool player Jeremiah Green (3-4-77) Modest Mouse drummer Steve Gleason (3-19-77) former NFL star w/ALS Bam Margera (9-28-79) Skateboarder, alcoholic Criscilla Anderson (3-25-1980) dancer Rob Burrow (9-26-82) English former professional rugby league footballer Johnny Ruffo (3-8-88) Australian actor Alt: TJ Ducklo (9-22-88) Former Biden deputy press secretary Clean list: James Whale George Alagiah Linda Nolan Andy Taylor Ronnie Atkins Shannen Doherty Jeanette Lee Jeremiah Green Steve Gleason Bam Margera Criscilla Anderson Rob Burrow Johnny Ruffo Alt: TJ Ducklo ---

The “Final Hours” award is going down to the wire. I don’t remember this much late ACTION INACTION grave diving by the unwitting participants in many a year. It’s really heart stopping breathtaking pavement pounding exiting exciting news. ---
