A relatively common [manifestation of Ecstasy toxicity is hyperthermia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MDMA#Short-term). If someone’s working out, especially in a hot room, and has taken ecstasy, hyperthermia, severe life-threatening hyperthermia, could certainly develop. ---

If your A/C is off, your apartment can take on heat pretty fast, and they you gain lassitude – I could see a person sit down, pass out, and basically simmer away. Age is mostly irrelevant in the heat. ---
