Wow, I didn’t know he was sick. He may not have been a paragon of virtue or accuracy, but Fast Food Nation was a big influence on me when I read it back in the day. I became a vegetarian for a few years after reading it (and similar things). ---

It was certainly a big enough factor for him to gain 25 pounds over that time, and those were not healthy pounds. Who knows what downstream effects that horrible diet may have had. We generally survive bad things like fast food because we have it in moderation. ---

Active PGATour Golfer Grayson Murray dead at age 30. He won the Hawaiian Open earlier this season. No cause yet, but he has had addiction/depression issues in his past. He was playing a tour event yesterday in Ft Worth TX, and withdrew with a couple holes to play and then was found dead in his home this morning. > ---

I was watching the Charles Scwab Challenge on GOLF TV then it switched over to CBS. When it came on, the commentator was practically in tears announcing the news. Very sad.
