Not quite my favorite show but in the top five and that’s saying something. Remember when they tried to get a cow down from the third floor of a tenement? Or “Lordy, I’m going to be shot dead in a moose suit.”? ---

Welcome back Baker! Glad your recovery has gone well and that you’re able to resume your Death Mistress duties. 🥳 Hill Street Blues was one of my top 5 fav shows as well. I liked so many of the characters: Sgt Phil Esterhaus (Michael Conrad) “Let’s be careful out there” Capt Frank Furillo (Danel J Travanti) Sgt Mick Belker (Bruce Weitz) Joyce Davenport (Veronica Hamel) Lt Norm Buntz (Dennis Franz) ---

Howard was always my favorite, but I admit that Mick Belker was a close second. Such a wonderful contrast between the scary exterior and the sweet interior. “Hi Ma…” ---

So when his character ended up in bed almost every week with Joyce he was being a really good actor. It makes me remember a quote from Sir John Gielgud. “I’m an actor. Of course I can play a heterosexual.” ---
