When I heard that John _Ashton_ had died, I initially thought it was John Astin. In fact, I made the mental error several times before I got it straight in my head. I wonder if the X report is the result of a similar mistake. ---

At this point, I’d say no one gets points for John _Astin_, since appears to still be alive. ---

In a way that’s kind of sad, that nobody seems to have kept up with him. I always said that if I was a viable pick I’d be flattered to be on people’s lists. It would mean they remembered me. ---

Sure, adding him to the list will keep him alive at least another year, like 12 of the 13 on this year’s list (14 out of 16, if you count the alternates). It’s all part of my fiendish plan to keep veteran performers alive as long as possible. ---
