# 2025 Celebrity Still-Dead Pool

Dick Trickle was actually a race car driver.

Whenever I was a kid, when the anchors on Sportscenter announced racing results, they’d always intone D.T.’s position.

“Richard Petty notched his 2nd win of the season, just eclipsing Dale Earnhardt in the final lap. Dick Trickle finished 9th.”

(And today I learned that his death in 2013 was from suicide. Guess those jokes add up over the years).

But I sort of have to hang my head in shame.

In my zeal to give a good show, I goofed.

Charlie Furbush, aged 39, walks among the living.

(Now I know how Will Smith felt after that Oscar slap. I’ll see myself out)

According to comedian Kathleen Madigan, Pope H was a real guy and she doesn’t understand why any of the newer popes didn’t choose that name.
