# 2025 Nobel Prizes

I have always thought that ‘economics’ is a bogus pseudoscience. It makes no useful predictions. This particular award seems to be for essentially stating the obvious in retrospect.

They should probably just retire the category?

I was particularly pleased when Katalin Karikó and Drew Weissman won the medicine prize a couple of years ago for work that led to the mRNA vaccines against COVID or when Kazuo Ishiguro won the literature prize.

Well, I wasn’t familiar with any of the winners or their work.

It’s not even an actual Nobel Prize. Basically, some economists got jealous, and started their own prize, ~~with blackjack and hookers~~.
