Very glad for Kieran. Great actor and hardly noticed. The Substance won Best Makeup for Dennis Quaid’s makeup. How’d they make him look younger than 206? 😁 The Substance was my favorite film this year. Really hoping for Demi Moore to win. ---

Only certain shows do descriptive audio. No idea why you are getting it, but I also do not have it. Maybe some other setting besides SAP? Brian ---

I suppose this is it. Some trivia a friend just told me: Fernanda Torres is nominated for best actress. The last Brazilian nominee for best actress was her mom, Fernanda Montenegro, who plays the older version of her in I’m Still Here. She was nominated in 1999 for Central Station. Walter Salles directed both movies. ---

I hated the way they presented the In Memoriam segment, with the names and photos in a circle with lots of wasted screen space on the sides. ---

Not for best picture - Anora was the favorite. But an upset for five awards including best actress, yes. ---

4 for 4! It’s an upset Baker won four Oscars, but I think I lot of people saw Anora as a slight favourite to win the last prize. ---

I had a feeling about _Anora_. It played **forever** on the Westside at the AMC that has become a favorite showcase for award contenders (early premiers, live appearances by directors and cast, etc.). What’s forever? It was showing continuously from about a week before its official release into January of this year. ---

Huh. Everything I saw was saying either Conclave or The Brutalist were likely for Best Picture. And yeah, Demi was supposedly a shoe-in for Actress. But I saw it coming when Baker started winning everything he was up for.
