To quote myself from last year:

> I always think that _this_ time I’m going to be clever and strategic about it. And then I just get depressed about trying to predict who will die imminently for the purposes of gaining a few points in a meaningless internet game, and just make a list of whomever comes immediately to mind. Which is probably why I never do well at this.

And in 2024 all I got was Shannon Doherty and a no-score from Jimmy Carter (which I’m fine with, tbh).

So here’s my random bash for this year:

**List**

Tom Baker (Doctor Who actor)
Dave Coulier (Full House actor)
Tim Curry (actor/fucking legend)
Geoff Hurst (English footballer)
Tom Lehrer (musical satirist/professor)
Mitch McConnell (politician/part-time turtle)
Willie Nelson (Singer/occasional actor)
Linda Ronstadt (singer)
Diana Ross (singer)
Michael Tilson Thomas (conductor/pianist)
James Van de Beek (actor)
Dick Van Dyke (actor/fucking legend)
Dionne Warwick (singer)

**Alternates:**

Bruce Willis (actor in the BEST CHRISTMAS FILM EVER)
Jeremy Paxman (UK newsreader)
Pat Boone ([heavy metal singer](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/In_a_Metal_Mood:_No_More_Mr._Nice_Guy))

**Clean list**

Tom Baker
Dave Coulier
Tim Curry
Geoff Hurst
Tom Lehrer
Mitch McConnell
Willie Nelson
Linda Ronstadt
Diana Ross
Michael Tilson Thomas
James Van de Beek
Dick Van Dyke
Dionne Warwick

**Clean alt-list:**
