So a few weeks ago, Kentucky senator Mitch McConnell was hospitalized, with nothing being revealed about what happened. Turns out that paramedics were called, and [CPR was administered due to “cardiac arrest.”](https://www.cbsnews.com/news/mcconnell-home-ems-call-unconscious-cardiac-arrest-hospitalized/). He was transported to the hospital No official word on his actual condition, however. ---

I dislike the man greatly, but it has been downright pathetic to see him left in office when he clearly could no longer function at normal adult levels. **Yoshihiro Nishimura** , Japanese movie director, died back in May. He was 59 years old. He has the distinction of directing the movie I often list as the worst movie I’ve sat through. “Vampire Girl vs. Frankenstein Girl.” However, he also directed Tokyo Gore Police, which was a lot better and is generally the first movie people mention when discussing him. Looks like cirrhosis of the liver. I have zero idea if he was an alcoholic, though. I had only heard of him, not heard much actually about him. ---
