# 21 Dead at Elementary School W of San Antonio, TX {May 24, 2022}

A committee of the Texas legislature has put out a report:

There were earlier reports that a policeman could have shot the killer; this report says that person was not the killer but instead “The officers testified to the Committee that it turned out that the person they had seen dressed in black was not the attacker, but instead it was Robb Elementary Coach Abraham Gonzales. Coach Gonzales had been on his way to the parking lot to leave the school after his lunch duty when he heard a gunshot and then Coach Garcia’s report about the attacker over the radio.”

Are those shields they have impervious the rounds the gunman was firing?

Some are, some are bullet resistant. I think it depends on if they have ceramic plates, similar to body armor.

If you watch the hallway video, there are a lot of shots fired when the room was breached. I believe one of the officers was wounded in the leg, but the other two were fine. Whether that to the effectiveness of the shield or the aim of the shooter, who knows?
