or, **Please don’t discuss _24: Season 2_ with me** 🙂
The second congress of the 24 Club is hereby (and _much_ too soon) called to order.
When in the course of SDMB events, threads like [24 Season 2 spoilers!!!](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=122447) and [Next Season’s “24” (Spoilers spoilers spoilers)](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=124445) begin to proliferate in freaking July, for Christ’s sake, it begins to be clear to me that those of us who wish to be able to not watch the next season of _24_ until it is complete in much the same fashion as we didn’t watch the [first season](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=97411) until it was [complete](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=116855) need a place to congregate, pontificate, and delegate the responsibility for finding something other to talk about than the show itself.
In short: Yo, **Munch** , how’s it goin’?

Hey hey. I am looking forward the next season and this time around I will NOT look at the spoilers !
I missed a few of the final episodes last season but the finale kind of wrapped it up nicely for me…
In the meanwhile, why dont you head over to the “24 on DVD” on-line [petition](http://www.petitiononline.com/24ondvd/petition-sign.html?). I signed it !
I wonder how they’ll treat Terri’s death… got to be kind of sad around the Southerland household.

Good work, **Lockfist**! That was quick work.
In other news, I didn’t watch 24 last night. Instead, I watched _Smallville_, like I normally do on Tuesday when 24 is or is not on. Sadly, 24 was not on, so my VCR had no chance to be a little bitch.
Heaping more news upon the unsuspecting masses, it rained this morning! Sweet sassy mollassey, that’s good news. It’s just getting too durned hot around here to deal. My basil plant disintegrated over the weekend, and now my indoor plants are suffering.

Two weeks without talking about “24”?!? You’d think it was summer, and there weren’t any new episodes and…
Oh.
Well, in case y’all didn’t hear, someone\* is sponsoring 24 next season, and it will run continuous with no commercials. This will make a single viewing very difficult. When am I supposed to pee?!?

I think the sponsor is Ford, and while I’ve heard that is true of the season premiere, I hadn’t heard it of later episodes. That would be something, though, that’s for sure.

Oh, here’s a little thought I had. Actually, you gave me the idea last season, **Munch** , with your fabulous head-them-off-at-the-Submit-Button idea to post a season finale “SPOILERS” thread before the season finale even ran. I think this season, the 24 Club should take responsibility for posting a SPOILER thread for every episode,[list=a][li]to make sure a thread gets started for each episode so the discussion can flow freely from week to week, but mainly [\*]to make sure there’s no need for someone to start a “I can’t believe Jack shot So-and-So” thread.[/li]
Does that make any sense at all?

Hey all, I have a dumb question: when is 24 premiering this fall (date and time)? I don’t want to do a search on Google because i’m afraid of spoilers in titles, and I don’t like watching Fox anymore, because there were so many spoilers in commercials. And yes, I was one of those people who would always turn off the TV before next week’s preview would be shown at the end of each episode.

According to the [official web site](http://www.fox.com/24/home.html), the season premiere will be Tuesday, October 29, at 9 p.m.
As to “supernatural willpower,” shucks, I’m just playin’ 'em one game at a time, happy to be part of the team. What about you, **Munch** , you got any “supernatural willpower” you wanna tell us about?
