I like this part. It’s like watching your kids open presents at Christmas (I reckon). _We_ already know what’s in the boxes but watching the expressions on the faces of the 24 club as they open each episode is just so precious! 🙂 ---

Just to let y’all know, I won’t be able to watch it until either this weekend or next weekend. Knead has done me the enormous favor of copying his first two tapes and send them to me, which are presently in the mail. If I get them this week, I’ll watch it on Saturday. If not, I’ll watch it next Saturday. Patience, my friends, patience. And Knead, even though I thanked you in e-mail, I want to thank you again here on the boards. Copying a couple tapes may not be the most physically strenuous activity, nor will it cause world peace or make a really good reuben sandwich, but I really appreciate it. You graciously offered to do this at my mere mention of the fact that I fucked up taping the first half of the season. Thanks. ---

I have no doubt whatever that you’d do the same for me, so it was the very least I could do. And now, the news: Hear ye, hear ye Many are called, yet few choose to join up. Be one of them. While _charter_ membership in the **24 Club** is open only to those who abstain from watching the show until the season is over, regular memberships are still available. Any person wishing to claim a membership in the Club is welcome to do so by joining in the **Second Annual _24_ Marathon**. The official marathon (i.e., when **Mrs. ToKnow** and I will watch our tapes :)) will begin at **8:00 a.m. on Friday, May 30, 2003**. If you cannot participate at that time, don’t sweat it. The only requirement for membership is that you watch all 24 episodes back to back within one 24 hour period. As my friend **Trion** points out above, ideally, you should begin the marathon at 8:00 a.m., the “time” the show starts. Skipping of commercials is permitted, for I’m making the friggin’ rules, and I damn sure will skip them. Join the club. We want you! ---

No spoilers: Well, assuming we’re still collecting _24_ references, Jack Bauer has a cameo on page 52 of the June 2003 Maxim (Shania Twain). There’s a Who’s Your Daddy Championship, pitting sixteen of TV’s dads against each other “to determine the grand daddy of them all.” Jack Bauer (rescuing your daughter from terrorists scores _mad_ points) starts the first round against Al Bundy (soldiers on despite hellion kids, a lousy job, and a harpy wife). Round Two is taken by _Al Bundy_ fer chrissakes. “Foot odor is tougher than any terrorist.” Al then beats out Frank Costanza, but loses to Homer Simpson, who takes the whole thing. ---

Heh, heh. Go **Knead**! Another update- [http://fox.com/24](http://fox.com/24) has added a message board and some kind of a behind-the-scenes look at the last few episodes. Not exactly sure what’s in it, as it requires RealPlayer. But don’t watch the behind-the scenes stuff until you’ve seen the episodes (if you care about spoilers, that is). I think [http://www.bbc.co.uk/24/](http://www.bbc.co.uk/24/) had added some features, too. They’re only up to 10:00 PM, but I think they have spoiler and non-spoiler sections. ---

Way to go, **Munch**! I felt the same way, though my drowsies got worst around midnight KTKT (about 4-5 a.m. CTUT), so I feel I may have a good excuse to buy the DVD again this season. ---

_Late Night with Conan O’Brien_ did a parody of _24_ called _60_. _60_ is also done in real-time, with one season being one minute, broken into 60 one-second episodes. There’s no spoilers. 😃 It’s roughly 30 minutes into the show, so you can catch it on Comedy Central’s repeat tomorrow (Friday), which starts at 7:30 PM. I watch a lot of TV, don’t I? ---

As best I can figure, **Munch** ,she was involved with the bad guys somewhat peripherally, just trying to position herself upward. Maybe she thought she could maneuver her way back into Palmer’s heart, I dunno, but she was mainly interested in getting back into a position of having power herself, whatever it took. Part of that was getting the bomb into the country. She seemed (to me) to honestly believe they weren’t going to detonate it. Either way, when she found out the depths of what she was in, she seemed to want nothing more than to get out of it, whatever it took. ---
