**lachesis** and **El Elvis Rojo** (and everyone else)- thanks for using the spoiler boxes. I’ll be the first to admit that we are pretty touchy about spoilers in these threads. But we do take this show seriously (a little too seriously, probably) and we do like to watch the episode with a clean palate. I (and I’m sure everyone else) appreciate the extra effort greatly. And to recap- the general guidelines for **KneadToKnow** ’s _24_ threads are: Anything that has not yet been shown on the show, on FOX, in your time zone should be in a spoiler box. This includes stuff that will happen tonight, tomorrow, or next episode (including anything contained in previews; may of us turn away before the previews begin). The idea is that any of us who don’t want to know _anything_ about an upcoming episode Tuesday night at 9 won’t. And some people ( **KneadToKnow** among others) tape the entire season without watching any of it, and then watch it either after the conclusion of the series, or in the week leading up to the finale. These folks avoid the **KTK** _24_ threads for obvious reasons. Some people, (both in and out of **KTK** ’s threads) have started putting any details about the plots of the current season in spoiler boxes, or asked that a given thread avoids those details. Usually, however someone will post a spoiler for all to see. Also, if you are linking to a thread or an outside page that contains a spoiler, please note that it does so, and what kind (hasn’t-been-shown-yet or current-season). Obviously, we are not mods, and we can’t expect the entire board to comply with our rules, that would be silly. But if you can find it in your heart, the hardcore _24_-philes are greatly endebted (is that a word?) to you. ---

well, if your body chemistry is already bouncing all across the charts due to torture (that’s _ **gotta** _ kick up the adrenaline output, at a minimum, plus the electrolytes should be doing interesting things), i would imagine prolonged application of a tasar (sp?) could have a fairly significant impact on your heart rhythm. like in encouraging extreme arrythmia. or even stoppage. (wasn’t there a warning once upon a time about tasars being dangerous for people with heart conditions?) lachesis p.s. **Troy McClure SF** – happy to oblige. ---

Jack was trying to give the doctor the opportunity by distracting the bad guy long enough with the “I’ll tell you” bit. It was just a matter of getting the doctor to see it coming – which he finally did. If the doc was smarter, he would have loaded the syringe with something harmless when the bad guy said to give Jack the Suffocating Juice (whatever it was…), and Jack would have just played along and pretended to be in pain. I don’t think it’s a big leap of faith to realize that James Whitmore, Jr. is the son of James Whitmore. Jr. used to be in a lot of Steven J. Cannell shows. He had a memorable turn as Freddie Beemer in a “Rockford Files” two-parter. He was an auto mechanic who dreamed of being a PI and he impersonated Rockford, while Jim was out of the country. He also did some guest spots on “Magnum: P.I.” ---

I am NOT a medical professional, but I do have some trauma training. Not a chance in Cleveland of Jack being up and about, mush less performing the kind of ass kicking and name taking he’s been doing. He’s exhausted. He’s been injured repeatedly and to varying degrees of seriousness. He’s JUST undertaken two severe system traumas – the torture session and the flatlining. His system is so thoroughly saturated with adrenalin at this point that it wouldn’t even register as new gets pumped in; kind of like when you drink to that point past drunk where no matter how much more you drink you can’t get any more hammered. All that nasty reality aside, I FRICKIN’ LOVE THIS GUY! The only thing that would have made the Tony/witch woman scene better would have been if Tony had cocked his head and stuck his tongue out at her with no other expression on his face after BossMan walked away. I don’t know if Mike is coming back into the fold or not, but I get the feeling he’s going to feel “just awful” about his treason by the time everything’s said and done. [spoiler]I loved the preview of Jack on the phone with Kim telling her, “Kim, Shoot him!” in the same frustrated paternal tone of voice you’d tell a petulant six year old to get off her butt and clean her room. Classic. Regarding the rednecks, I can also see Jack telling them they have 3 minutes to consider their options, going outside and shooting them both through the bathroom half-window. That reminds me: Has anyone been counting rounds to see if the guys are being realistic or if they’re using the magic Hollywood magazines?[/spoiler] ---

That is, I don’t think he really injected Jack with the whatever diaphragm-paralyzing drug. Jack faked his reaction. As to Jack kicking ass and taking names after being revived from the dead - maybe he’d only been _mostly_ dead. And not even for all day - just a few minutes. 😉 ---

For whatever reason, I have absolutely no problem with the improbability of Jack’s amazing recovery, and other stunts. In fact, it makes the show more fun and just adds to the whole idea of his demi-god-like persona. It’s the stupid decisions by otherwise intelligent people that makes the show somewhat of a butt of ridicule. Not to specifically single out Ensign Ro, but going off to a secret meeting in the broom closet just doesn’t seem to be in character for her. One thing’s for sure, I gotta find out where those guys get their cell phone batteries!
