CTU is going to tell the Chinese that Jack Bauer was killed by a mountain lion while trying to escape. Apparently Jack got caught in a trap and his genetic makeup made him unable to open it. ---

So who here plans to watch next season ( beginning January 2006!)? My husband wanted to stop in the middle of this season, and I’m not sure if I can bring myself to bother with it next year. As Mr. Bawlmer said, can you think of even one TV show that started out great, declined to sucking as hard as this season did, then got better? ---

Season 5: The Chinese get peeved when their consul to Mexico City is killed by the head of Mexican CTU, named Jose Bauero. They are stumped. – Well that was my first season of 24 and the whole shooting down the nuke was just silly. They built that all up and suddenly it was over like that?! I was thinking, at least, they waste all their missles before the last possible one shoots it down… or something silly like that. Would have been better than that non-climax. Other posters who have seen the show for longer have said it is like the writers just weren’t trying… yeah… seems like that. ---
