That Louis article was pretty silly. I’m sorry but, while I like Edgar, he was not a beloved cahracter by me ad I don’t think by a majority of the shows fans either. He was well liked and such, but 24 fans are well aware of the mortality of these characters. I am more disappointed that Michelle was killed, actually. BTW, if you are going to go to the trouble to rig CTU up with sealed rooms and such, wouldn’t it make a bit more sense to keep the gas masks in more accessible places than in the basement behind some file cabinets in a cardboard box with some back issues of National Geopgraphic? I don’t know, maybe in the rooms that you can seal? ---

Well put. when i was watching with my girlfriend that works in the Capital, she was just like, “WTF aren’t there more masks, I’m required to have one at my desk” While the Capital is a different story, seems like a Counter Terrorist organization would have better preperation ---

While the mask can be quite useful in certain situations, it is also a placebo for many people. In the non-_24_iverse, one would need a full chem/bio warfare suit, properly sealed to the outside, to withstand an agent like the fictional sentox. Waaaayyyyy back when I had to train in using and working in such a suit, we had to learn to get in them in minutes (harder than you might think). Hopefully, the suits have been updated and can be donned faster. I worked in a secure facility during the first Gulf War and we still didn’t have to carry our CBW gear with us everywhere. Of course, if we were hit, we would have been like most of CTU - dead. We had no Jacks. Hell, we had no Lynns. We did have a bunch of Chloes (though many were not as comely) and a bunch of thin Edgars. ---

Does Chloe move her arms when she walks? Today I was walking to my car, and it was cold, so I kind of locked my arms while I was walking. I got a mental image of Chloe walking with her sour milk expression as I did that. ---

In a disused lavatory with a sign on the door that says “Beware of the Leopard”… Yeah, I’m more upset about them killing off Tony and Michelle than I am about Edgar. At the rate they are going this season, Kim’s probably next… ---

What season is the Leopard on? I have 8 hours left in Season 1, and haven’t seen 2-4 yet. Right now the daughter survived the car rolling down the hill and subsequent explosion when her mom parked it on the ledge on loose dirt. She is out in a little more rural area now. ---

Just a couple of quick observations: Let’s see, we have an indecisive, ineffectual President and a gung-ho hawkish Vice President who, it would appear, is actually pulling the strings in this administration. Hmmmmmm… If only Fox was that “fair and balanced” on its NEWS programs! I’m kinda surprised that no one has picked up on this juxtaposition: Jack telling Soul Man to get Kim out of the city just as Logan is considering a declaration of martial law (or at the very least a curfew). I haven’t read any spoilers or anything like that, but doesn’t this foreshadow the old “we’re-taking-Kim-back-to-CTU-where-she’ll-be-safe-oh-crap-where-did-that-car-come-from” scenario? I can picture Psychologist Boy getting all huffy with the National Guard troops about how he’s an American citizen and they can’t treat him like this–can you say “friendly fire”? If that happens, please, please have Kim jump in front of him just as the soldier fires! C’mon, guys, you already killed off Edgar and (maybe) Tony–at least let us have this! ---

After all, This guy has been living out in the woods by himself for a while. Do you really want to be walking around in front of him with fewer clothes on? That and the guy seemed creepy before it was revealed he was a survivalist. ---
