I know that grocery store scanners are programmed not to scan booze after 2AM (I missed the cutoff by mere seconds once), but come on. Bars aren’t always known to go by the rules. ---

In a universe where you can shoot down helicopters with a 9mm pistol, do you think they worry about _liquor laws?_🙂 CTU cell phones and tasers are powered by small nuclear reactors; hence the long “battery” life and knock out strength tases. ---

Shooting down the helicopter was very reasonable, actually. Helicopters are a mass of quickly moving, relatively fragile parts. It’s not hard to bring them down with small arms fire at all. Even military helicopters like Apaches are vulnerable to small arms when flying low and slow. This one was hovering a couple hundred feet away while Jack plinked away at it. However, blowing up the tank of gasoline with his handgun was not even remotely realistic. ---

I know this is a stupid question, but why bother to shoot down the plane? I though they were already planning on having the Secret Service arrest/kill jack the moment he lands. Considering everything we’ve seen tonight, that seems like a reasonable enough plan. ---

Then agian if the plane gets shot down…but with a new 3 year contract something tells me it won’t be. Not sure Jack can escape a plane going down from 30,000 feet–unless he has a parachute in that shoulder bag of his. ---

Jack’s doesn’t need a parachute. He’s got a pistol versus an F-18. The F-18 doesn’t stand a chance. I wonder what’s going on in the cargo hold. Also, even though I watched twice, I missed what happened to the pilot. Can someone explain, please? ---
