I think I’ve generally enjoyed this season more than most, but I thought this episode was REALLY disappointing. Usually, 24 does a good job of minor misleads and keeping you guessing and stuff, but nearly everything this episode happened exactly as one expected it to. -the ctu guy looks like he’s going to panic, which will cause a problem, so he does -the younger ctu guy looks like he’s going to go after the older guy, which will get him killed, and he does, and it does -Renee is going after Jack and we hope she’ll show up just in time to save him, and she does -Chloe has a crazy sounding plan, and we hope it will work, and it does -NSA guy seems like a douchebag, and he is Usually on an episode of 24, at least 2 or 3 of those would end up working out somewhat differently. Not quite Joss Whedon subvert-the-cliche differently, but at least somewhat interestingly. Dana being a mole almost certainly makes no sense, although it does make it at least somewhat more believable that she got hired, if you think about it from a certain angle. Random ex-con changes her identity well enough to slip past CTU’s screening process = improbable. Random ex-con is recruited by powerful shadowy conspiracy which almost certainly extends up to random white guys in suits who we haven’t met yet, and they arrange her to get hired by CTU = somehow more probable. And joking about it aside, I think there’s only a mole in CTU every other season, on average. Although in season 2, for instance, we spent a long time THINKING there was a mole in CTU but it turned out he was a good guy running a sting operation, etc. ---

There were some false moles, and I think every season had a mole/turncoat somewhere (FBI, NSA, Secret Service, etc). ---

Have y’all noticed how Hastings/Williamson slinks around all stoop-shouldered like he just got caught doing something nasty? Not the image you’d want the head man to have if he was out there commanding respect and stuff. In fact, CTU looks more like Keystone Kops than the models of Homeland Security we’d expect after 9/11 and all. And even Season 1 was post-9/11. Just saying. ---

Chloe’s wielding a gun. FINALLY! I’m glad Renee is back in play. That armor shield was a good idea. Unfortunately, it’s so hard to find good help these days. Poor Owen. It was inevitable Renee FTW! Chloe’s not good with praise. 🙂 Crazy Bitch killed the PO. He had no evidence, she completely overreacted. What exactly is she up to? Didn’t really think there was going to be a mole this season but if I had to guess, I would have said it’s her. Oh and Hastings is exercising some good judgment huh? Finally someone’s listening to Jack and Chloe. ---

Honestly didn’t see the Dana/mole storyline coming - I thought it was going to be Arlow. My and my friends just started laughing though when we saw that, pretty absurd twist IMO. ---

Uh… Mason Went down in a helicopter with the payload of a biological weapon, because he took in too much of the weapon, and had less than a day to live. Dressler Carbomb early on in a season, that in turn took out quite a few people, Chloe got saved by Jack. Right ? Or were you not asking THAT? And Tony Is still in play, right? Good to see he studied under Patrick Duffy. ---

On Michelle, the bomb just took out her – and injured Tony a bit. And I’m quite sure **D\_Odds** knows those characters are dead. He’s saying let’s let some dead agents take the blame. ---

Nah, it was just coinky-dinks that the first three names have shuffled off this mortal plane (get it…George Mason…plane…oh, nevermind). 😉 🆒 Tony was likely sent to a Supermax facility from which he escaped and set-up operations in Miami, until he ran afoul of Fionna Glenanne, Michael Westen, and Sam Axe. Erin, IIRC, is in a soft room wearing a jacket with extra-long sleeves.\* \*Yes, that’s an exaggeration. ---
