Jack was unconscious and about to _begin_ the treatment at the end of last season, right? So therefore, the last time Jack and Renee saw each other was _on the very day they first met!_ Yet they’re making it like they have this whole big history together, when essentially they’ve known each other for less than 24 hours. ---

I think he’s basing his conclusion on the fact that he knows she’s tried to commit suicide – he looked at her wrists when they were at CTU earlier.
