_It’s conventional to talk about images on paper as 2D when paper and ink marks are obviously 3D objects, so it’s a bit tricky to know how abstract people are being._ It’s not the least bit tricky. You can’t talk about 2D without being abstract because 2D is an imaginary state. ---
