Well, here goes. Heavy metal and hard rock have continued to remain very popular in Scandinavia, and in the '00s there was even a resurgence of '80s-style glam metal. I say this to try to prepare you for the existence of Finnish band [Reckless Love and their song, Beautiful Bomb](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qy6NpF2V2xg). What can I say, that’s an earworm of a chorus that just can’t be fought.

[I’m Too Sexy](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=21hmMqe9Phg) - Right Said Fred. It got a lot of crap when it came out, even though it was supposed to be an amusing ironic song about the serious posing of catwalk models. I recall Rod Stewart got the same stick for _Do Ya Think I’m Sexy_ in the 70s.

It’s hard to find a guilty pleasure, because I will argue the merits of any song I like for minutes on end. If I like it, it has redeeming value, at least to me. I’ll dig up something that I probably SHOULD be ashamed of, though, and try to look properly shamed.
OK. . .this one is a little on the shameful side. I have this in my big random playlist and un-ironically enjoy it.

I go back a long ways and was a tween when bubble gum music was popular. I still give an occasional listen to “Build Me Up, Buttercup” by the Foundations, and yes, I still know all the words and sing along loudly when it comes up on my shuffle. (blush)

Good CHRIST that’s HORRIBLE, Eddie. _HORRIBLE_, so much so that I don’t think drinking boilermakers would help. I’ve sat in bars with friends and discussed the idea of rushing the stage and beating up the band that was performing for us, and they weren’t THIS bad. You weren’t involved with creating this music, were you?
It IS compelling though, in a can’t-look-away, train-wreck sense.
