Since a number of us here are either already married or don’t ever want to be, feel free to treat this one as simply “a good song to play at a wedding”. I have to go to Bandcamp for this one because YouTube is giving me one of those annoying “this video is not available” messages. It’s [The Galaxies - Love Has Found Me](https://thegalaxiesband.bandcamp.com/track/love-has-found-me), a great slice of '60s-style power pop with a little touch of country. There’s even a line about “walking down that aisle” in the lyrics so it feels like it actually is a song about being married. ---

Probably been done to death but since the first time I heard _Fields of Gold_ (Sting) I thought it would make a lovely wedding song. Even then I knew \*I \*most likely wouldn’t ever get married but I still find the song so lovely and it borderline makes me blub. ---

I recently went to a same sex wedding where the groom Will sang Wedding Bell Blues, (with slightly altered lyrics) to his new husband Bill. It was so very cool. Bill, I love you so I always will. I look at you and see the passion eyes of May And Bill, we’re finally get to see our wedding day. ---

Way back when, when I got married I picked the current popular wedding song which I hated then and hate even more now. It would’ve been nice to have “Why Don’t We Do It In The Road” playing at my wedding.\* \*One time we were having breakfast at a semi-ritzy place that had a harpist performing. I still regret not having gone up and requested that she play this song. ---

Thank you both so much. That was very kind of you guys. But before anyone else expresses their sweet wishes, I just want to say that my husband passed away in November. We’d even moved our renewal up to our 22 1/2 anniversary hoping to make it in time, yet it wasn’t meant to be. And I seriously apologize for not wording my earlier post better. I tried to think of the best way to convey all that, but these days, it seems like every third post of mine talks about being a widow, so I weaseled in an attempt to shut the hell up about it.
