I read in some clickbait article that Kenneth, the NBC page, was secretly some kind of immortal being and that there were hints dropped in the series about it. Well, all of those hints shot right over my head, and I sure noticed all the similar references about, like, Bobby Hill and Beavis. What were some of the hints about Kenneth? Were his humiliations on a Georgia hog farm echoes of stories about Krishna or Osiris or St. Anthony of Padua? ---

It was. 😆 At one point he said he started his page job in 19-{mumble}. (Seen in the montage.) He also referred to himself as elderly many times and had a bird that he’d kept for 60 years. ---

Of course “canon” is tricky here, since the aforementioned final scene arguably reveals that everything before it was just future-Kenneth’s imagined version of the series Liz’s great-granddaughter was pitching to him. (Hence the transition into that scene via zoom-out from a snow globe à la _St. Elsewhere_.)
