It’s hot. It’s 36 degrees in Toronto (that’s around 97F for you Americans), and the weather channel says that it feels like 47. The relative humidity is 47% and I have the feeling that the humidity has gone down. Last night had the warmest nightly low temperature ever recorded in Toronto: 27degrees. No wonder I had trouble sleeping, and I woke up feeling crappy and unrested. I didn’t feel good until I got to work and got into the air conditioning… ---

I’ve been outside a few times today during breaks. Even the wind was hot, and the shade really didn’t do much except whimper a bit. Know what the high temperature was in the Bahamas today? 32c. That’s right. Bahaman residents were lying on the golden sands today thinking, “I wish I was on Cherry Beach right now.” ---

I feel your pain. Right now in Chicago, it’s 97° (feels like 108°), 46% humidity. It’s not expected to go below 88° tonight. Where I work, it’s usually over-air conditioned, but I’m actually comfortable today. I can only imagine what it’s like out there. I kept waking up last night, and tonight will probably be just as bad. ---

98 here, heat index 110, low last night was 77. Humidity was 64 % earlier but now it’s down to 59%. And I’m loving it. Now if only I could stop this pesky work thing. ---

Sorry to hear that, **Sunspace**. In Saskatchewan,for most of July we had some really hot days, with unusually high humidity that was up in that range as well. Blech. I hate hot weather. I wasn’t sad at all when I decided to postpone holidays because of work pressures since I’d rather be at work when it’s that hot anyway. Now I’m on holidays and we’ve been having a respite from it. Today it’s 26 degrees (the low last night was eight degrees!), and with the exception of Sunday when it was 32 or 33, it’s been in the low to middling 20s for nearly a week now. The forecast is for the same for the balance of the week. That should show promise for what’s moving in your direction. ---

Same temperatures here in Montreal. I had to run some errands, and took the car. It has no A/C. Sitting in a dark green car with brown interior, in city traffic or at stop lights was horrible. Now I’m sprawled out on the couch with a fan pointed at me, but we don’t have A/C in the apartment either, so it’s not much better. Cooler than outside, but just as disgustingly humid. We have boxes to unpack and things to clean, but in this heat, I can’t seem to be able to do it! Just too hot! ---

It was 50\* down here in Windsor yesterday. I definitely broke a pretty heavy sweat just walking to classes. I know I should be trying to conserve energy and all that but if someone wants me to turn off my AC for even one second they’ll have to pry it out of my well-cooled hands. \*122 F for the Americans ---

This morning around 7:45am, getting off the cool, air-conditioned bus, in the 5 second transition between inside and outside, my sunglasses fogged up. _Fogged up!_ That usually happens in winter getting ON a heated bus, not the other way round. ---

I guess it’s Southern California’s turn to be smug, at last. It’s been mid- to upper-80’s since the weekend, and downright cold (65-ish) at night. A pleasant break from the 110-degree days and 90-degree NIGHTS we’ve been suffering all month long – my neighbor’s tree actually [keeled over and died from heatstroke](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=381047), it was so hot! I know it won’t last, so please don’t mind as we dance around in parkas & mittens for the time being. 🆒 ---

My Australian co-worker kept boasting that at least her heat im Melbourne was dry… I never thought that Toromto would ever be more unpleasantly hot than Australia… ---

That was “feels like” temperature. I’m pretty sure the highest the actual temperature got was 35. Right now, we’re still sitting at a toasty 35 with it feeling like its 47.
