# 37th anniversary gift - in case you were wondering

Sure, 25 is supposed to be silver, and 50 gold. But those off year anniversaries can be challenging. In case you were wondering, apparently 37 is broken bags of mulch!

Today is our 37th. Of course we couldn’t think of anything we wanted or wanted to do. As she was running errands, she saw the hardware store had heavily marked down its remaining stock of mulch. So she surprised me with 20 broken bags of mulch that were on sale for 50 cents a piece.

PLUS, I get the added benefit of hauling them around, and then cleaning out the back of the car!

Who says romance is dead? 😉

The traditional 37th wedding anniversary gift is apparently Alabaster. How romantic can you get? Mulch is much more practical if you ask me.

I made a nice dinner one night, and gave my wife chocolates and a handmade _“Happy 37 1/2th Anniversary!”_ card.

Then explained that we’d made it halfway between our silver and golden anniversaries.

(She’d also been confused by my flat 12" square present on our 33 1/3 anniversary)
