# 4-in-5 Oklahoma City students can’t read clocks

I use quarter till, and quarter to interchangeably.

I’ve heard quarter of and assume it means the same thing.

I use till and after the most often. It probably is a regional thing.

We had a [thread](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=582853) about that. “Quarter of” is an abomination and should be eliminated from the Earth.

A few examples  
1:00 la una  
2:05 as dos y cinco  
3:10 as tres y diez  
4:15 as cuatro y cuarto  
5:20 as cinco y veinte  
6:25 as seis y veinticinco  
7:30 as las siete y treinta  
7:35 as las siete y treinta y cinco  
8:40 as las ocho y cuarenta  
9:45 as las nueve y cuarenta y cinco
