# 408 request time out error on SD links

Hello Everyone.,

This isn’t a big deal, but I’m wondering why I quite often get a 408 request time out error when clicking on Straight Dope links. When this happens I have to hit refresh to load the page. This doesn’t happen on any other site, but it happens very frequently when I click a link here to view a thread. Is this a SD server issue or on my side? Like I said, not that big of deal but I’m curious as to why it only seems to be happening here.

I have been getting this error a lot when accessing Da Dope on my phone. I have to tap, back out of the error, and tap again, maybe 2 times out of three some sessions. (Dolphin, fullscreen, on a Note II.)

(Maybe should be in About This Board?)

Interesting, same so in using. Note II, Dolphin browser.
