I should clarify that my statement above applies only to a hardcore subset of Trump supporters (the number of which I don’t know), not everyone who voted Trump. But I stand by my claim that the truly faithful wouldn’t budge. These people cheered the assault of peaceful dissenters at Trump rallies. Why wouldn’t they give their idol himself the license to take it a little further? ---
