5 songs that represent your views in life

Let’s see…probably starting in order of least importance would be:

Hot Action Cop: Face Around. It’s a song about can’t standing to see backstabbing friends. It reminds me of being sick of two-faced people and not to take any crap from them because there’s people out there actually worth your time.
Yeah I got so much trouble on my mind/ Though I don’t try to be unkind/ Sometimes it gets way out of line/ And that was too low!

Quarashi: Weirdo. Weird can be a good thing, if weird knows what it is.
You’re a blank zero/ A forsaken hero/ You’re always going to be a motherfucking weirdo.

All American Rejects: Move Along. I heard this damn song everywhere when it first came out three summers ago like it was made specially for me. I was closing a too long chapter in my life which was daunting and draining. It reminded me of how strong I can be when I suck it up and just keep doing what I do.
When all you got to keep is strong/ Move along, move along like I know you do.

Flobots: Handlebars. Gotta say that this one grew on me, the video goes great with it. It reminds me of globalization, politics, and education (three subjects that I dealt heavily with in my major). It reminds me of the potential we all have to change the world for the better and for the worse and that we can become our own enemies if we are not careful.
Movers, shakers and producers/ Me and my friends understand the future/ I see the strings that control the system/ I can do anything with no resistance…

Alien Ant Farm: Spain in the Neck. The anthem of my life. When I have my worst days, I listen to this song a couple dozen times. It just reminds me that I’m not the biggest screw up in the world, I’m doing okay, and the little mistakes that I make will not result in the end of the world as I know it.

All this running just to fall,
Seems my run has slowed to a crawl.
Feels like nothing’s right
Something screams inside:
“It won’t be long, you’re doing fine.
Doing fine…”

China Girl by David Bowie
Island Girl by Elton John
Cinnamon Girl by Neil Young
Rich Girl by Hall and Oates
My Best Friend’s Girl by The Cars

Buried Standing Up, Hide and Gonna by Yell County. (well, they ought to represent my views, I wrote 'em!)

I’m A Loser, I’ll Cry Instead and Help! by the Beatles (well, not the girl stuff, just the loser stuff).
