He’s almost 13 now and this was definitely a phase that passed long ago. Reading it now I feel silly that I was so worried but also clearly remember how troubling I found it at the time. As for his sexuality he’s straight, and as for his sartorial choices, they are all boy. ---

But getting a response like this, years later from the OP, can be so satisfying. Don’t fear the undead!! This. I don’t get the zombie hate. This was an interesting thread, and it was awesome to find out how it turned out. My son started wearing women’s clothing as a teen. But he bought his own stuff, or borrowed from friends. Not all the time, just sometimes. He’s straight, and I’m not certain why he likes to dress up in skirts, but it seems harmless. ---

He points out that while most of his stuff corresponds to things which are currently not viewed as masculine, all of it used to be considered so at some point.
