Are the vests worn for Pete’s own safety? For somebody else’s safety? Is the specific risk they are intended to protect against: – Being shot? – Becoming the target of some other form of deliberate violence (stabbing, punch in the nose, etc.)? – Being involved in an accident, such as falling, drowning, or being hit by an object? – Some other form of physical danger? – Some sort of legal risk (for example: being charged with impersonating a police officer?) ---
