[Here’s another angle on the shooting.](https://mobile.twitter.com/ALT_uscis/status/1347080836517081088) Looks like she was the first through the broken window; further down that thread is this comment: “Police shot her after warning the group NOT to try and come through the windows. The police were in a hallway with several Senators who were sheltering.” ---

I would be surprised if it worked like this. Often the window to do _“something”_ on the floor is seconds. No way is Ted Cruz madly tapping on his phone to send a text to a drone on the floor to make a motion in the 10 seconds it can happen. ---

The rules of engagement are perfectly clear in this regard. The only difference is, I’ve never protected anything nearly as important as the U.S. Capitol. ---

The interview below with the guy in blue also makes it clearer: > “A number of police and secret service were saying ‘Get back! Get down! Get out of the way!’ She didn’t heed the call, and as we kind of raced up to grab people and pull them back, they shot her in the neck.” … after she tried to climb through the window towards them. Obviously they didn’t want that mob to break through while they were protecting senators behind them. ---
