…Why not? If anything, the reverence and reaction to 9/11 has done more harm to America than the actual incident itself. ---

Forgive woukd seem to cover that, no? And not forgetting what led up to it and how the response was handled seems like it could inform future decisions. Just because it’s Shodan doesnt mean. You have to disagree. I was in calculus when it happened. Didn’t get to see any footage until that night. ---

I don’t think it’s something that should be forgotten, just like other atrocities are remembered. Forgetting history is a great way to repeat it. ---

I’ll never forget when I was in AIT (after-basic-training trade school in the Army), and the sergeant teaching the class came in late, and said “I knew it would happen eventually. You build these skyscrapers tall enough, and some idiot will fly a plane into them.” Then somebody came by the classroom and said the _other_ tower was _also_ hit by a plane, so it couldn’t have been an accident. Then, the teachers all went to the break room to watch the news, and our drill sergeants came to march us back to the barracks so we could call our families and also watch more news. It was a fairly unproductive day. ---

You look at a lot of places in the world, it seems like lost of their problems are caused by people who remember _too much_ history. A little amnesia might go a long way in the Middle East. ---
